On Monday I awoke to temperatures in the -50 Celsius range with the wind chill, (about -58 F.). While on my way to work I saw three cyclists braving the cold. More than I could say for myself as I passed them in the comfort of a vehicle.

Just thought I'd share, and wanted to give props to anyone who goes and commutes regardless of the weather conditions.

+1.

Here in Atlanta, I ride all year round. The people say, "You didn't ride in the cold, did you?"

All I can do is roll my eyes, since "cold" here is anything under 50 degrees F. If it drops below freezing, people's brains begin to stop working. :D

-50 is way past my limit for biking. That is crazy cold to be outside in for almost any activity. I'd be afraid of getting a flat or something and being stranded. Bad stuff can happen to a person at that kind of temperature.
