A big favour to ask for anyone out there with Shimano Aero and Tektro R200/Cane Creek SCR-5 levers......

Can you measure the cable pull and post the result? I'd like to get some new levers, but am unsure if I want the Shimano or Tektros, and was curious to see the cable pull difference -even if it's only a millimetre or two. I think looking at the photos the Tektros seem to be better suited for me, but I don't want to get them if they don't pull at least as much as the Shimanos.

Thanks!

My Cane Creek SCR-5's, with brakes disconnected, have a 15mm cable pull (levers all the way to the handlebars -- although changing the mounting position might affect this a bit).

Don't have the Shimanos, so I can't help there...

Ha! That's what I needed to know -thanks so much.

I know that the mount of the lever can change the pull somewhat, but from this it sounds like the Tektro/Cane Creek will do fine.

Thanks again.
