I've got an injury that keeps me from running these days, but cycling seems OK, so I went in today for a 5:45AM spinning class with "Triathlon Bonnie". I haven't done this much before and I was clearly the oldest one there, but managed to snag a bike in the back corner and hung on for the hour-long workout. I'm just glad that we have control over our own tension settings -- my "level 5" is probably the drill instructor's "level 1"!

Anyway, I just wore a very old pair of MTB shorts and a running tech-T (and SPD shoes), but there were several others there in full kit. So I'm wondering if it would be OK to show up next time in my new, as-yet-unworn GL jersey? I was sort of looking forward to wearing it on the first good day this spring as a sign that winter was really over, but maybe I could break it in on a spin?

OTOH, I don't want to look too kitted out: there are some real competitors in the group, and as long as I just dress like a slob maybe nobody will notice me much.

I think the question is: do you want to be noticed?

as long as I just dress like a slob maybe nobody will notice me much. Wait, isn't that an argument that you should wear the jersey? :p

Now, now...it isn't THAT horrible....
