Imperial is a figure 8 like course, my race director said a strong rider can stay away
Fiesta Island Time Trial on the 10th too.

Doh, I meant the Saturday - the 9th. Rough day.
Woohoo! Looks like we've got good weather this time! :D I plan to at least head out to pie with you all, and then reevaluate based on how I'm feeling. I might turn around and ride Pie Lite if I'm struggling by then.

I'm interested, but can't find anyone to drive down with me. Maybe the next Palomar ride...
I can go up to drive you down, but then you might have to ride home after the main ride. :p

Due to finacial crap, I can't afford to race this month, though I already paid for sunday's race. So count me in for this ride. I MAY turn back after Pie, pending how I feel and if this sickness slows me down.

thanks, I hope to get better, I might do the club ride saturday morning, kinda short, only 45 miles and not too much climbing. I'll know after that ride if I can tough out a 100 the next day.

Any last minute suckers?
Looking forward to seeing everyone. Thanks to our "nice person" for SAG (you are AWESOME!). We are heading down to SD tonight (got a hotel.:D). We have some goodies for the SAG vehicle....for everyone to snack on during rest stops!
See you all in the morning!

considering joining... depends on how much I drink tonight... :D
If you see me at the start, then I am a participant... but if you don't see me then I am either late (as usual) or not showing up...

You drink too much all the time, but the Pie Ride only comes once in a while. Why don't you violate everyone's expectations and show up on time - just to mix things up of course.

Hey everyone! Finally have my internet hooked up after moving last weekend...
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow and being able to support the ride.
I'll have a 3-bike trunk rack, a bunch of water, a couple canisters of powdered drink mixes, some energy bars, first-aid kit and anything else I think of between now and then.
Here's your last chance to make/ask for any specific requests and give tips to this newb SAG driver! :D
Will see you all tomorrow bright and early!

Bring a couple of pounds of foie gras please.
And a bottle of Nature's Miracle or Febreze. IanInSD sometimes won't stop for pitstops and that can cause a few problems.

Be safe and have a great ride out there guys!!! You are probably all already there. I hope to see pics when it's all said and done. :)
I think I should try riding regularly before the next time I attempt a very hilly century (or 96-miler, as the case may be). That said, I did finish the ride, and it was a fun time for all (as far as I could tell, anyway).
For me, today's ride was an exercise in riding intelligently. Very careful and disciplined pacing. Riding rather efficiently. Knowing the course well and making the few hard efforts really count. And, of course, it was also a great day out on the bike.
Thanks Frank for organizing, and thanks Tiffanie for driving SAG.
