I have been using the silca corn cob adapter (http://www.bicycletires.com/pSNDAD/Silca_250_Disc_Wheel_Adapter/product.htm) for the last year or so. There has to be a better adapter, right?

I was looking for one that would be easily workable by one person and that actually clamps or secures to the valve.

anyway....please enlighten.

Some normal pump heads will fit just fine.

People have been looking for something better for as long as I can remember. I've never seen it if they've found it.

I was sure someone posted something about a different one last year, but searching provided no answers.

I wish I had video of me trying to pump up my tires by myself with that thing. it would be a youtube classic.

A guy I train with has one that screws onto the valve. I will have to find out where he got it.

no...but shouldn't be hard to make it shorter.

Yeah, a guy in my club had one of those - people talked about 'passing around the crack pipe' before races. :)

A bit of teflon and a standard valve extension like you would use for 55+mm rims will work and then a normal pump head can clamp it.

Tried that on my HED disc. Didn't work...

Although, the guys at my LBS, on a slow afternoon, set about bending one just a little bit (so as not to pass outside of the disc surface), at which point they could get a CO2 head on it (as the CO2 cartridge thing they have didn't fit between the sides of the disc near the rim to get enough grip of the valve).... if that makes any sense at all...

If you have a look on Silca's page (http://www.silcapompe.it/adaptors_en.htm) (scroll to the bottom where there are pictures of valves on hoses), that seems to mount directly to the pump hose, rather than the head of an existing pump.
