Heres a link to terracycle. They have a program to recycle energy bar wrappers and make something useful from them. Sounds like a great idea, save the planet.:D http://www.terracycle.net/brigades/

About the only thing that I put in the trash are wappers. This ought to just about eliminate my deposits in the land fill.

Actually, this is a really good idea!

We signed up Challenged Athletes Foundation as the charity to receive the .02 per wrapper from Planet Ultra recycling.

So, when you come to an event, bring whatever wrappers you've saved. Note: They only accept wrappers from energy/granola bars made by Clif, PowerBow and Nature Valley.

Thanks!
Deb

I was figuring that you would sign up CAF, and I am going to promote to everyone I know to save the wrappers. They can all hand them to me and I'll hand them to you or the MS Society (which also signed up).

ClifBar is such a great company for being the sponsor of this effort. This makes me want to buy more and more of their products.

I just received my first shipment of collection bags to recycle energy bar wrappers . They hold 250 wrappers so I'm asking my friends to save their Cliff Bar, Power Bar, and Nature Valley granola bars till the next time they see me and give them to me then so I can send them to Terracycle in bulk. Thanks

I'll pitch in. I don't eat that many so it would take me an eternity to collect 250 on my own, so you can have whatever I save before I see you next.

Nice, Bob.

You're on. I think I even have several in the back seat of my car where I throw everything in a huge heap, including old wrappers, gel packets, bottles, condiment packs...:D

when i signed up they sent me an email pretty much saying "we already have enough people to do this." It seemed like there was a limit of 300 so if you want to save them till we cross paths I'll take them, or Planet U signed up and I believe will take them at any of their events.
