Got my FI.13 S2 bibs yesterday, size Large. (sexy wimmins take note http://forums.roadbikereview.com/images/smilies/ihih.gif).
Went for a fast 15 miler after work to test them out. They rocked my ass-os off. Actually made my Toupe saddle feel like a moderately padded barstool...better than I expected. The acid test was with the Toupe saddle since it is the only saddle I have tested that doesn't cause soreness, numbness and all-around discomfort in all the areas other than the sit bones. The Toupe is all about the sit bones which isn't uncomfortable except on longer rides. I tolerate it just so I wouldn't have to tolerate the issues with the Flites and other saddles I have tested. I was always hunting for the sweet spot with those gel and non-gel saddles; the Toupe supports where it should.
I will test the Assos on a fast 50 miler this Saturday.
Many of you already have a pair of Assos so you know what I am talking about. It took me a little while to get a pair and stop trying iron butt it through lesser bibs. My Bergamos, Capoformas and the one Pair of PI Attacks that I have are above average and I still like them. I'll be trying the Sugoi RS Bibs next as a comparison based on Chuckle's recommendation. Sugoi has the largest, thickest chamois I have ever seen; it is multi-layer like Assos, also.

I have been thinking about springing for a pair myself. I hear they are sized pretty small. I am about 5'11" and usually wear a medium with other brands. I have heard I may want to get the large at my height. Any thoughts?

Luvin' mine too. I also have the T.FI Mille for those super long rides and the Knicker T. Roubaix for cold days.
Some come with the mesh wash bag, but not all. I (my wife) washes all of them in the mesh bag.

You probably could go either way, I'm 5'11" and have Unos and F1.13 S2 in both Medium and Large. I think I prefer Large, though.

I bought mine on ebay from that same english guy. $220...best price anywhere and fast shipping.
I'm just over 6 foot tall and 193lbs. but my waist is smaller (32) than the 34 - 37 range for the large size. (I don't know who comes up with these waist size ranges in conjuction with the height ranges) Regardless, the large fit perfectly. They came with the mesh wash bag (bonus!), too.
Ps Could they change that gray stitching to point somewhere other than right to my junk?

Yes the FI.13 does rock (I have 3 pairs). Oddly, I have been using a pair of Peral Izumi Gavia Plus bib tights this week since it has been cold. The PI 3D Pro 2 chamois is really nice. Maybe even more comfy that the FI.13 chamois.

I got me a pair last July before my double century, and they were sweet even after 200+ miles. Expensive? For sure. Worth it? My az$ says so.

How do they compare to the Castelli ypro chamois? So far I like the Castelli ypro the best (compared to PI & DeMarchi's top ones); although I've never tried assos.
Just checked their price. On second thought I don't want to know.

I thought you preferred that? Weren't you going to put letting right above it that said "This is what you get, Ladies"?

The Y Pro was always my favorite until I bought my first pair of Assos. I still have 3 pair of Castelli' that I use on shorter rides.

That's why I don't wear Descente jerseys.
EDIT: Granted, I don't have many curves, but I don't think I need to give people directions.

Is the Mille really more comfortable on longer rides than the F1.13?
I have the F1.13 right now, but I don't like the pad at all. Anything over about 40 miles, I always ride with my Castelli because of the AC pad. I like the fit and the quality of the Assos better, but I would only get another pair if they came with a pad that I can do longer rides with.

I know what you mean about the waist sizes. I am 5'11" and I am a 31 waist - 150lbs. That's why I was unsure about what size to go for.
Thanks all on the sizing input.

The Mille has a thicker pad if that's what you like. I use both my Mille and F1.13 on long rides and they both work for me.

I did 35 miles in them today (sprint intervals, tempo riding and climbing) and the longer I wore them, the better they felt. At first I was kind of searching for the sweet spot on the chamois when I sat on my (non gel) Toupe, later I found that everything had settled in and was comfortable.
I'm still going to try the Sugoi RS and maybe Castelli.

I think it's illegal to be critical of Assos bibs. It must be your fault.
