Hi everyone. I'm putting together an xtracycle right now, its based on a specialized stumpjumper. I purchased the freeradical kit without the v-racks, snapdeck and freeloaders, I built my own racks, a skateboard for snap deck, and I am having some custom bags sewn for it. I plan on using it for grocery shopping, camping, touring, trips to the hardware store, etc. I need some tires (26") for it, I want something fast, durable and capable of carrying a pretty hefty load. Thanks Brian

fast and durable are often opposing qualities. schwalbe marathons are a very good compromise. schwalbe big apples feel wonderful and are reasonably tough, but not as tough as marathon.

For pure city use, Schwalbe Big Apples I think. For longer distance use, Marathons. For expedition use, like touring with an off road twist, i'm a fan of Ritchey Innovaders.
