Mountain Biking - February is.....Black History Month

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
So, in honor of the month, please post your black bikes, history or not.
Here are two of mine that are history for me (hopefully someone, somewhere is still riding the hell out of them)

I see that you went with the optional Yeti "Stickstand". A great upgrade in my opinion.
^^I read the review on StickLines and just had to have one!

Carbon is the new black, or the old one. One of them, to be sure.
I've reported your 'other' bike to the mods for removal. It's like the lady in red in my matrix of cool Larry Fishburnes (like theres any other kind of Larry Fishburnes...please.). NFG man......
I mean...how much more black can this thread be? The answer is none. none more black

Why do some people have their seats so high, like the white one above? Can your legs actually touch the ground with that in between them? I always thought that was what determines seat height, generally

Actually when it comes to seat height it should be high enough that at the bottom of your stroke your leg is fully extended (now keep in mind that most mountain bikers don't actually have it quite that high) but that's the general rule. You should be able to touch the ground with both feet when you stand over the frame (stand over height) but you don't have to be able to do that while on the actual seat.
Hope that makes sence if not someone else might be able to explain it better.
PS Also remember that some people will have there seats slammed down (or close to) because they jump there bikes.

When sitting no I can't put both my feet down, hell not even 1 of them can touch the ground. As mentioned for proper power outage from your legs you need to almost fully extend when pedaling while seated. I"m also 6 foot tall.....:)

Actually, you don't want it fully extended on any bike. That will cause knee damage. You want just a slight bend at the knee. A good way to measure it is put the pedals at 12:6 position and put your heel on the bottom pedal, your leg should be were it's fully extended. That will give you your right seat height.
