I was taking some computer equipment to donate at my church garage sale that starts tomorrow morning, and saw a Motobecane Nomade. Not sure if this worth anything or not, as I haven't had any luck digging anything up on the net. Is this a quality bike ? Or leave it be. They are asking $12. I suspect this bike was built in the 70's.

Must be a "Nomade". $12.00, I guess, buy it !
Motos entry level bike. I bought one in 1978. It was my first "real" bike and still one of the few I've ever bought brand new.
Steel rims and stem shifters with a hi-tensile frames means noone ever entered a TdF on one but I lightened mine up with an alloy wheelset and bar end shifters and it rode real well. Motos were some of the better finished bikes of the Boom period and if that one is clean it should be an attractive bike. If clean and straight it is a well spent $12.

I did buy it, and it is very clean. Will check it out, replace tires, and repack bearings, etc. Rims are straight, as well as frame. I think this one spent most of the time in the garage.
