I just read an article from Mountain bike action about this Salsa Caballero full suspension bike. The frame of the bike was built with Scandium.

Has anyone tried this particular bike or frames that are made with this material?

The article claims that Scandium is lighter than ti and stronger than alumimum.

It is basicly a higher grade alumminum.

yea its basically aluminum but lighter then normal and more expensive, few companies are using it though, i know bianchi uses it on its cyclocross bike
