I just ordered and received my Cygolite Hi-Flux 100 but when I went to attach it to the bars I realized the clamp is less than an inch in diameter. There is no way this thing can fit around a standard set of handle bars or am I missing something (figuratively or literally).

Well I think I'll be buying one of these to solve the issue.

I bought a pair for my brother and his fiancee, and what he ended up doing was to take out the rubber grippy thing and just clamp with the plastic--it's light and it stays in place well enough, so he hasn't had an issue with it rotating when he hits a big bump...try that before you shell out for an adapter?

http://www.shop.cygolite.com/product.sc?categoryId=49&productId=34 -- Cygolite has a beefy OS handlebar mount (up to 31.8mm), but I was certain that the HiFlux 100 shipped with an OS mount...but this one they've got on their website comes with a flip-lock cam-mount. Interesting.
