BMX - chicago bmx shops?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hey, anyone know of a bike shop in Chicago that's the most knowledgeable with bmx bikes, or has the best selection of gear? Thanks.

Well, I don't know of any shops, but maybe if you call Yojimbo's on North Clybourne, they can help you find a place. 312.587.0878. If he doesn't have what you need, he can point you in the right direction. He does the repiars for a lot of the bike messenger guys.

don't bump threads. just look online or go to a bikeshop. In queens, every bikeshop has bmx parts. the one closest to my house is run by street mountain bikers, so they don't have much bmx stuff

if you cant find a local shop... order from either Albe's (www.albes.com), Dans Comp (www.danscomp.com), Empire (www.empirebmx.com) or staff (www.staffbmx.com)

I fail to see how that's an oxymoron, at least in the original meaning of the term. BMX refers to racing bicycles in a motocross style, which is exactly what racers do.

i mean that street, dirt, and park riding should not be in the same category as racing, because there is no motocross involved
