she got me a new bike and today it finally arrived. 2008 Litespeed Icon. I have been longing for a Litespeed for too many years to count. I can't wait to get it out on the road. I just finished the assembly and set up. I still need to fine tune the fit and trim the forks. Here's the run down:
2008 Litespeed Icon Frame (I opted for the nude frrame seemed timeless to me)
Easton EC90 carbon fork
Dura Ace- F&R derailers, brakes, flightdeck
Ultegra SL-crank (compact 50-34), cassatte
Ritchey Pro handlebars, wcs 4axis 110mm stem, Carbon Pro seatpost
Chris King Headset
My old Specialized Alias 143 (can't part with it I love this saddle)
all rolling on some Mike Garcia fabricated Velocity Aerohead rims laced with 28 spokes in the front and 32 spokes in the rear wrapped in Conti Grand Prix 4000's. All for just a hair over 17lbs :)
(I think my last Thanksgiving meal weighed more than that)
Here's some photos. I'll post more after the fit is complete.

Depends, after I get the fit right I'll probably have to cut 20-30mm of the "fork stem"

Steerer tube, for future reference.
That's an awesome looking ride. We want reports and more pix when you're done with the fitting and get some miles under your belt.
Very nice! Was this a Valentine's gift? Or does she just love you that much :D ?

Very nice. Was it as good as the fatted calf your dad gave you when you returned? I assume your screen name refers to the parable of the prodigal son.

Valentines, birthday, fathers day, anniversary, christmas.....for the next 5 years. :D

You are almost correct about the ref. Its not the whole parable just the verse...."A man had two sons". and for the record I never got the fatted calf, I do have 2 sons though ( for whats it's worth I am pretty sure it is faster than a fatted calf though);)
Wow you are truly blessed with a great wife ------ I have dibs on the sister!!!!
