Well, not the actual lights, but something in the magnets or rotation thereof...
I've got a set on my DL-1 for be-seen lights, and the front (or maybe both) makes a 'reek-reek' noise synchronised with the rotation of the wheel (f=2x rotation, two magnets per wheel). Each magnet straddles four spokes at about the crossover point. They also did this on my more modern (only 17yrs old) MTB.
Before I get out my trusty bag-o-chicken bones amulet to attempt getting rid of the noise, I was wondering how common it was... the worst thing about the situation is that the 'reek' noise keeps me from hearing the ticking of my SA hub!
