I'm still unsure but am leaning towards the beautiful.

My wife who quite often has differing opinions when it comes to the aesthetic was immediately smitten. Too tall for her and on the outer edge for me.

Have not heard of the builder but definitely talented.

Saw it listed on the CR list but it doesn't seem to have attracted much attention there. What do you all think?

Glenn is a exceptional builder, and knows the trade very very well.

Beautiful, but a bit flash (as a rat with a gold tooth!)

definately goes towards the bicycle as art side of things.
I don't think its excessive, but then I appreciate things
like Hetchins Magnum Bono, and other fancy cut lugs.
I'm betting the Erikson was a custom for someone who wanted
something a bit different.
My only concern would be not much lug for the Braze to flow,
would this cause a problem?

Wow! Although I appreciate the beautiful craftsmanship, it's a bit too rich for my taste.

Marty brings up a good point about the lugs.

That said, Erikson is a very well thought of framebuilder so
I'm pretty sure that there is enough lug to hold the frame together safely, but I sure wouldn't take it out on a rough
chip and seal century!

As my posted Capo photos attest, I do appreciate ornate lugwork, but this one is just not my style.

If you want to see more of Glenn Ericson's lugs, check out the S and S couplers website:

www.sandsmachine.com

Ericson makes some seriously bougie bikes.
