Well I did. my first time trial today and here is how it went. Weather 51 degrees southwest winds 15mph and a chaince of rain. The course was 12 miles long and very hilly. At around mile 4 the rain came and man it was freakin cold. When I looked at my computer to see how I was doing on my time it had already pooped out from the pouring rain. That really took the wind out of my sails , so I just decided to finish and see how things would turn out. The result was a time of 38:21 not too bad but I think I can do it in 36:00 flat, but it was good enough for 5th place because of the conditions.

Congratulations on sticking it out through the adversity! Sounds like you did a good job, especially for a first time. I have never done any time trials or racing, but it sounds like a great way to test yourself.

Nice job!!! Sounds like you did a TT in some rough conditions and held in there anyway. Keep up the good work and hammer the cranks.

The computer stopped working because water got between the contacts on the mount and the computer itself. Things change when you are not sure how fast or slow you are going. The funny thing was it actually hailed for about 5 minutes ( pea size hail) and I thought it was just rain mixed with speed. The way I see it next season I will be doing more time trials and the competition better watch out!

Actually I didn't train for this time trial. I ride about 3 times a week, 25 mile group ride on wed. and usually 25-30 mile rides twice a week. I don't get to ride as much as I would like but I have a three year old that loves to spend time with her daddy. Next season I plan to make better use of the riding time that I get!
