Weather reports for the SF Bay Area do not have rain drops for the whole week. Putting all things aside to get in some miles, every day.

I'm so happy to be on my dry day bike today that I'm having a pleasant Monday at work. Its amazing what a great ride in to work can do for your attitude.:D

For non-cycling days sure.

I love the heat. While most suffer on climbs in 100deg weather I thrive on it. Dont know why, I just like it.

People think I'm crazy for liking the Sacramento heat. I feel alive in it.

As for today. Torturous to be indoors working. I can see the Sierra Snow and Diablo clear as a bell today. I may need a personal day if this keeps up any longer....

Since discovering Halo headbands I don't concern myself with heat anymore other than making sure plenty of sunscreen. The bandannas would get so hot under the helmet.

Band practice cancelled tonight so I'll be able to get in a ride after work.

Went on my Muir Woods loop today from the City and couldn't ask for better conditions. The view from the bridge was crystal clear without a bit of haze or smog. Perfect! This is why I love living here.

The sun is creeping in through the window. Sunshine has crept into my cubicle. Damn, I forgot to bring my Oakley's. :D

Went for an early morning 3 hour ride before work down to Gilroy and back. It's not raining, but it sure is cold. Need to work on my toe warming strategy.

Yeah, planning to ride into work as well... what is the best toe warming strategy?? booties?

I use toasties. They seem to work just fine for this cold.

It's sunny today, but the 38 degree temperature this morning was a cold commute. At least there wasn't much of a wind, and I'm glad I'm not someone I met with this afternoon who's flying into Madison, Wisconsin tonight with a projected 8 inches of snow.

So excited about the weather I swapped my commuting wheels for my training/racing wheels. What a difference!

Toasties work for me down to about 4°C, and only for an hour or so.

At 5:45AM this morning when I rolled out in south San Jose, it was 1°C, and after 3 hours of riding the temp didn't climb much. Neoprene booties weren't enough. I think a second layer of socks would work though. Took 30 minutes or so to feel my toes, and the shower burned. Nice ride though.

Medium-weight Smart Wool socks help me out with the cold rides.

I'd also like to give a positive recommendation for the Arcteryx Epsilon AR jacket as a warm yet breathable soft shell for cold rides. It has a long tail and arms which make the fit very well for cycling:

There's your problem right there, 5:45!! Are you crazy!? Hehe..
I have about an hour commute from campbell to milpitas and don't usually leave earlier than 8.

Today I wore some thicker cool-max socks and my toes were just fine...

I was up last night with mass exodus so I called in sick this morning. Just woke up (12noon) and I feel fine... It's sunny. Should probably just pack bananas and gatorade to be on the safe side...

Yippee! No rain! I'm off to Woodacre tomorrow morning. Let's see if I can still climb that hill.

Of course the nice weather has to come around when i have the flu! Last week would have been a better week for sitting around the house, because this is torture.
