I'll withhold judgement on the other components, but I think the bar ends look sweet. Where did you get them? A google search has left me nothing.

You're ugly. So there.

To the OP: Where did you find them and how much did they cost?

...what's the point of these?
Though unpopular, bar ends on flat bars can be a great alternative to bullhorns.

I thought they were threadless stems that someone had chopped, but I ended up with this: http://www16.ocn.ne.jp/~nitto210/

to offer a second hand position on flat bars.

Umm, Bullhorns?

As a dealer I can get them through Merry Sales. VERY few were made this time around, so I hear. Talk to your local fixie shop and they may be able to order a few.

If memory serves, a mountain bike company made some just like these in the early '90s. Who was that?

I got these from Merry Sales. I personally love nub ends liek these, i use them on all of my bikes. It's my most comfortable most powerful position. Climbing hills, doing tricks, or cruising, its comfortable for me. I've broken both of my wrists so many times my rotation isnt great, so i love them. like my bike or hate my bike, i really dont care. cause I love this bike

Umm, Bullhorns?

Sometimes people on mountain bikes want to climb a hill instead of just going down it.

A CF/alloy bonded quill stem? Did you have that custom made? Cool stuff.

WR compositi. its an older italian stem (~96/97). they still make them in threadless, but not quill

Yeah, bullhorns are great, but don't always fit the bill. I run a similar setup to this a lot, but at 36cm the only way I could get bullhorns in the size I want would be to chop track bars, and then the shape would be all wrong. This way you can achieve variations not available with prefab bullhorns.

I cringe any time I see those CF/alloy frames. Especially given their age.

To the OP, make sure you keep an eye on every one of those joints, especially the ones on that stem.

You're tellin me. It's not my main ride, its my favorite though. i inspect every joint regularly and i am always on teh hunt for the perfect (to me) part.

Merry Sales had five pairs of these in stock, one of which is on that first bike. They are very expensive and appear to not provide any leverage at all. Get some black alloy stubbies made by any number of companies and fahgeddaboutit.
