Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - Fixed Gear Conversion Help

Long time reader, first posting. So currently I have an 07 Fuji Track bike.

Looking at old bikes in my garage, I found a Magna road bike with horizontal drop outs and 130mm spacing. The frame is perfect and still painted. I've seen that bike since it was purchased 12 years ago. I stripped the wheels and cables off. I left the brakes on.

Anyways, I want to get some new wheels for my Fuji and put my current wheels on the project bike. Just to get this bike rolling, I was wondering what I need to space the rear hubs to 130mm. I believe the current Fuji wheels are 120mm. I want to use the current crank that has 40/48T and get a new chain (3/32?). The Fuji wheel has a 16T fixed cog on it. I will probably be getting a 17T single speed cog for the hub.

To recap, how do I respace a 120mm wheel/flipflop 32H hub to 130mm? I wanna get this project bike rolling.

Assuming you have 5mm of axle to play with on each side, you need to get yourself some cone wrenches (someone here might know what size these hubs take) and 10mm worth of hub spacers (glorified washers). Remove the lock nuts, put 5mm of spacers on, put the lock nuts back on, done.

I've never seen a Magna road bike, are you sure it takes 27" or 700c wheels?

Thanks for the reply. I'll try it out when I get those new wheels. I've read a lot on Sheldon's side (RIP), but I remember reading that he has like 2000 pages. It'll take a while to catch up. Where can I get spacers? Harris? Do I use my current axle or do I have to get a new one?

I've shoved some 700c wheels on my frame it and it will clear. Later, I'll figure out what to do with the crank and BB. I just want to get it rolling fixie for now.

Any LBS will have spacers, they ought to have cone wrenches as well. If you live in BUFU and need to do mail order, you'll probably have to call some shop about the spacers, as most places don't list small parts like that online.
