I stopped by the polling booth on the way home from my ride. I wanted to pose in front of it for my February P-A-M, but there were no beverages being served. :(

I did not ride my bike to vote, but I voted. I forgot that I'm registered non partisan, but it was it all good, as the Democrats allow non partisans to vote in the primary. The Republicans do not. I wonder why that is? Anyway, I cast my vote...now, let the best man or woman win. ;)

I rode my bike to vote... because I was riding into work today. I got there early, 10 minutes before they opened... I was first in line to vote. :D

My wife called and said she's not cooking all week because I did not vote for HC. In fact this was the first time I've cast a vote for a major democratic candidate now that I've switched to a NP last year.

Is withholding cooking worse than withholding sex in your household? I'm just curious since women usually withhold the latter when annoyed with their spouse.

I'm one of 3 quarter of a million L.A.County residents to request a mail in ballot. And I did actually mail it in.

I walked.

I didn't realize I was registered NP as well, but I still voted for a Democrat.

I was tempted to vote for Dodd just to see my one vote on the tally, but I didn't.

Teh bf and his mum did that too, and we mulled over it together last Friday. He said I get a say in who he votes for because I can't vote but the policies of whomever gets elected will affect me too. He's so sweet.

Anyway, he voted for Gravel. We were originally going for Kucinich, but he dropped out. Boo. Gravel is soooo similar though, and I'd vote for him over Clinton and Obama even if I'm both a woman and a racial minority.

My polling place happens to be along one of my favorite quickie workout rides. It includes a nasty steep hill, the top of which is the polling place. If I don't ride up to vote today, may Arnold, Mitt, Hillary, John and Obama call me every day until election day in November.

And Huckabee, Gravel, and Paul too!!!

I'll walk there after work, it's about a hundred feet from my place. Too bad Fred dropped out, and no, I would rather vote for anyone but John, well...almost anyone.

My polling place is right around the corner. It's a Moose Lodge and has enough of a disgusting bar/cigarette stench that I switched to an absentee ballot.

I heard on the news last night that all the CA state mail in ballots may not be counted in time before they announce a result. Reporter said that poll workers are "feverishly counting" in order to have as many votes registered in time.

I mailed mine last week. I would rather vote in the comfort of my home than have the old ladies stare me down as they hand over my Republican ballot. Who said voter intimidation doesn't exist? ;)

Going to walk to the polls tonight... it is only 2 blocks away so it is a complete waste to ride the bike.

I rode to the lab, then walked to the closest poll during lunch. Does that count?

In parts of CA, yes, I can see how that's troubling. The first year I voted in Topanga Canyon, they had assigned booths for each party, with signs above designating which was which. I remember thinking how odd that was. The following year it was changed to non-designated booths. I vote for the candidate and the issues, and not necessarily the party, so any public designation could only be for intimidation purposes. I don't care either way what anyone in my community "assumes" about my politics, which is why I'm a proud gun owner.;)

Ah Topanga, I'm surprised they didn't have the Republican booth outside with picketers entrenched around it.

Yeah, I enjoyed a very quick ride to my nearby polling place, locked up, had a vote, rode home. It was a lovely ride.

I do an absentee ballot and take it to the polling place. It is only 1 1/2 miles from home so I just walked.
btw, spectacular weather, California is beautiful.

There's nothing even the slightest bit odd about it. In elections with a party primary component, people registered with different parties will require different machines (actually the same machines but with different pages). In general elections there is no such requirement, so the booths are non-designated.

I vote for the candidate and the issues, and not necessarily the party, so any public designation could only be for intimidation purposes.

Erm...yes. That must be it.

Ever notice how the 9mm Luger ammunition is sold in separate boxes from the .38 Special? I've always thought there was something odd about that. I mean, they're bullets, right? You stick them in guns. What possible reason would there be to sell them separately except to intimidate people who use revolvers instead of semiautomatics?

I thought it was because the 9mm bullet is .002 smaller diameter than a .38 bullet. I like your reason better though.
