Hi everybody. Looking forward to getting to know some of you and picking your brains. I have a takara road bike ( I found this bike in the trash at work, took it home cleaned it up and enjoy riding it. I believe it to be early 80s) and a walmart schwinn mtb. I have been commuting to work on the mtb for a couple summers (I live in Hutch KS, very cold right now) I have decided to participate in some races and rides this summer, specifically the flinthills deathride in july. I hope to learn what I need to know to get prepared for all this.

Welcome Aron to BF.
Lots of info here to help you train.
I had a dumbster road bike that lasted 10 ten years. All I ever did to it was put air in the tires.
