Question of the Day - Friday (for those of the more faint of heart)
Are you an Assos aficionado?

Yes, I'm converting from Assos to something else.
OMG YES
What a difference....these are the best shorts/knickers I have worn....
Nothing comes between me and my Assos!! (hmm..good line for a commercial)

I like Assos, but I'm an Etxe Ondo fan, too. Call me fickle.

I like Assos and own two pair. For me and IMHO, they are bling and not really worth 2x the price.
Would love to however the price point for these things is way above anything in my budget! Maybe some day when our daughter no longer wants to play AYSO soccer, take singing lessons, have a cell phone......

Suckas! Money better spent on ultra light weight skewers!
Honestly though, my most expensive bib so far is ~$80 (sales price), and I already feel guilty for spending that much. They work ok for the longest rides I've done so far, so for me I'm happy I don't need to go Assos ($$$). :)

I'm going to have to sell my liver to afford this crap, but yes, I'd like to get me some good Assos. And apparently I'm going to have to lose 50 pounds as I hear the shorts run really small for the women.

They do run small, esp. the summer jersey. The shoulders are so tight I have to wear a medium.
The Airblock fabric they use for their winter tights is freakazoidially amazing.
Too pricey for me. I love my Desoto 400 mile bib's, which have the best chamois I have used to date. AND they are half the price of Assos (plus I get a additional 25% Tri Club discount since Emilio is a club member and sponsor).

when the bibs get down to 50 bucks, I might try it LOL

You know they make more than one size, right?

I've got two pairs of shorts and one bib... they are okay, but I don't think they are any better than my PI shorts.

Also, isn't your liver used? I'm sure you have other organs that haven't been used much lately... ;)

All I know is that they don't make 'em in my size - FAT.

Yeah, so it's got holes in it? And shut up already...I might have actually found a buyer on here!
EDIT: All of my organs are used on a regular basis, I'll have you know. It's the muscles that have atrophyed.

I gave Kim some for Christmas, and yes they do run small for women and men. She really liked the fit and wide band, already hedging on another pair. I've been watching and have found them on sale occasionally, but still pricey.

I have two knickers, two shorts, knee warmers, the Airplus bibtights and the SS13 lady's jersey. I'm not the biggest fan of their women's chamois (I prefer a thinner, race chamois) but I love the fabric of their winter stuff, and the fact they make bibs in my size.
BTW, I got most of these at 50-75% off by trolling eBay at the right time. New with tags, too. ;)
<<<<< EDIT: Oh, and duh, the one I have on in my avatar
Waiting on my bibshorts... we'll see.
I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that I got the correct size conversion formula.

blasphemy! run this man out of town!
then again i didnt really like the F113's either....just the milles.
I am content with Sugoi Rs for now. I can't imagine an Assos bib is almost twice as good.

That's OK, they just came out with the FI 13 S5 bib shorts with *new* and *improved* chamois... must have heard PI coming up behind them. ;)

+1 Etxe ondo has the best chamois for women IMO:) I haven't tried Assos yet, but I'm happy with Etxe

EO's chamois are thinner than the Assos Lady chamois. I just got the new EO Iral knicker and the chamois was pretty comfortable on a 50mile/4000ft ride. :)
