Does anyone have any good bike routes to recommend in Scottsdale? I will be there for a conference at the end of the month and have the afternoons free for three days.

Your shoe-in is called the Greenbelt. It's a major north-south MUT that runs from Tempe Town Lake up to Shea Rd. (maybe 20 miles). Completely bike-friendly except for the dog-walkers and hikers and bladers and kids and all the rifraff that clog up a perfectly good MUT. Look up Hayden Rd on a map and you can't miss it.
If you have a car and a real bike, go over the hill to Fountain Hills and McDowell Mountain Park. You'll find a 30- or 40-miler with just enough hills to make you notice!
If you're in to dirt, consider Papago Park. Kind of basic but I'm sure you'll have fun.
And finally, look up bikebarnaz.com, they have some road routes published, I'm sure something will grab your interest
The route at Mcdowel mountain sounds like a good bet to me. It is not often that a flat lander like me gets to ride some hills.
thanks.
