I just got a new gym membership to "24 hr fitness"(not open 24hrs), on North Brand blvd in Glendale. I am considering biking to the gym and then doing some weight training. My question is does anyone do this? How safe is it chaining a road bike at the provided bike rack? The gym is on the third floor and I believe the rack is on the first. It would just be another motivator to ride more I guess. Anyone with experience with this gym or another regarding its safety? Thanks in advance.:D

This is what errand bikes are for. Mine is an inexpensive fixed gear that I got for about $400.

I might just take my brothers road when he's off at school. If it gets stolen he wont notice for a few months. No I'm only kidding.

Roadfix, so this Mary you speak of rides her bike to the gym? So I won't be a renaissance man if I do? Haa.

I would never lock up and leave a bike worth more than a few hundred.

Right now, my beater bike is an old Bridgestone that I upgraded. Rides great, but looks like crap.

Gym? I don't go to the gym. They make my arms weigh more.

Wouldn't it be funny to bike to the gym, then ride the stationary bike, then bike home.
