Hi, im 14 and i guess 130lbs. Right now i have a haro backtrail x2 that i got for dirtjumping but now i dont like dirtjumping and like street bmx. Ive been using it for street bmx for a while now and the rims are starting to dent, the cranks are ok (getting worse). I can do the basics (bunny hop like 2 feet and can almost 180, do manuals and stuff) but i would like to get a new bike. But i think i want 1 with a gyro and at least a back brake. i want to keep it pretty light. Im also thinking i shouldnt get any brakes and keep it lighter. How Heavy Is A Gyro With A Brake?

What should i get? im thinking maybee a dk bike...

oh and im looking to spend about $300

also, when i do manuals on my haro, i have to pull the bike up high for a balance point and cant hold it long at all, while i see other riders barely get their tire a foot off the ground and hold it for as long as they want. Is it because the haro is front heavy? Is a dk as heavy in the back as it is in the front?

Alright, first off, I doubt you can do 2 foot bunnyhops. And for two, you don't need a gyro unless you can do like triple barspins. And three, a DK Sixpack will do you good. It has the name of dirtjumping, but it's versatile and tough enough for street.

ok, i didnt mean bunny hops, i ment jet hops, (front first then back) and yea i can do almost 2 feet jet hops (22 inches) from the bottom of the tire up to where the fork meets the frame. I know because im trying to work up to jump up onto this ledge that is 2 ft.

1) I heard that the 6pack has REALLY long and wide bars and that the frame is long? wont this NOT be good considering all that i want to focus on is street riding?

2) How heavy is a gyro?

3) My haro backtrail x2 is in excellent condition...is the dk sixpack going to be a significant step up?

4) I didnt really want a dirt jumping bike. I wanted a real street bike thats pretty light and that you can pull nice manuals with, grind and stuff. Are you sure that the sixpack will be good for this? (street riding only)

The six pack (http://www.danscomp.com/101071.php?cat=BIKES)tt length is 20.5" that is 0.5" more than the regular size. Super long, right?

Anyways whoever told you that doesn't know squat. You don't need a gyro. Go to your lbs and try out the bike for yourself. Dirt bikes and street bikes are pretty much the same except the tires.

ok, these are my last 3 questions (i think) try to answer them all

1) Is the dk six pack a SIGNIFICANT step up from the haro backtrail x2 for street riding?

2) Is the dk six pack heavier or lighter than the haro backtrail x2 and by how much?

3) Is the dk six pack lighter in the front for easier and better manualing and such?

Thanks alot for all responses

ive done some research, and found out that the six pack weighs about 33lbs while the cleveland weighs about 32lbs. so its not heavier.............?...........

The Gunz actually has some gunz now. With the help of my newly found God (creatine), I'm up to benching 185. Oh, and I only weigh 145. :D

nevermind that question, found it out.

Is the Kink Roc a better bike than the dk cleveland for all street riding? It seems too light for a street bike. (Will it break/crack?)

Enough. I don't usually do regular curls. I do preacher curls at 105+.

Fitrider, do you own a kink roc bike? because ive been using the search function (OMG!!!) and you always tell people to get a kink roc.

Well, being that it's now a year old, it will probably be that price until they are all sold out.

Ok I know that every single 1 of you are going to say I don't need it unless im doing like triple barspins or double tailwhips but could i put a gyro onto the kink roc?
