Last Sunday, I ordered the frame for my new bike, a Mondonico Futura Leggero. Antonio and Mauro Mondonico were in Santa Clara for a fitting, so I was able to get fitted for a custom steel (Columbus 747) frame which will be ready in the Spring of '04. But by then the Campy Chorus Triple gruppo will be in shops and my bike can be built with it. The other benefit of waiting is that I won't have to take my baby out on wet streets. My fork will be a Reynolds Ouzo Pro. I ordered a black frame like the one in the pic below. That one is of the EL-OS, but you get the picture. Now my question: should I have the lugs chromed? Or will it look like a Merlin Cielo wannabe?

I'm really happy about this, so thanks for listening!

It's your baby. Have it built the way YOU want it. Who cares what anyone else thinks.

chrome lugs on a steel frame look timeless. Steel (or any polished metal) on
a carbon fibre frame looks like a steel frame wannanbe!

Nice bike, Rich! I think chromed lugs will look great. Keep us posted, okay?
