Bicycle Mechanics - Removing graphics fron carbon seatpost

I purchased a carbon seatpost off eBay that has some real ugly graphics on it. The one they pictured was nice and blank like I wanted it. The post is nice just want to get rid of the graphics. Any ideas on how this can be done without harming the carbon?

doesn't sound like this should be your problem. i see your options as:

1. get your money back from the seller and return it at his expense. misrepresentation.
2. ask seller about the one they pictured and have them send that one, returning other at his expense.
3. learn to love it.
4. attempt to "fix" it, running the risk of fannying it up worse and buying another one.

Last month the wife and I were on our favorite trail for an after work ride. Coming around a corner we came upon two downed bicyclists. Long story short, the lead rider's carbon seat post had failed causing him to crash himself and his friend. The worse of the two was the guy in the rear who landed on his shoulder. (maybe broken). We called and waited for an ambulance and their spouses then left. I did see the seat post, it failed at the clamp bolt. While waiting myself and the lead cyclist looked around and found the bolt and bits. I don't know what he planned to do with it.

I have no solution for your question, but obviously be careful not to compromise the integrity of the part.
