I just signed up Tricia and my own bad self for the 100 mile tierrabella
http://www.tierrabella.org/
The ride is on April 19.
It might be fun, but mostly I did it 'cause I like the jersey.
Now, should we all wear Norcal and be a biker gang? Should we "experienced" cyclists wear our 50 jerseys? Should I coordinate the lipstick with the jersey or the frame? Or just come lookin' cool?

What??? If not you, who?
I just have to pick out what color water bottles I'll be using. Color doesn't add grams, does it?

Why not go for the 200K? What is an extra 24 miles anyway after all those miles? Maybe we will do it. If we do it will be for the 200K. Can you suck a tandem wheel for the extra miles?

I'm already signed up for the 100mi and I have to get up and do another 100 the next day but it is tempting. I'll check out the route maybe I'll still be able to ride part of 200k

Tricia's wondering if she's up the first 100. That last 24 is turning out to be a hard sell. I, of course, being the manly man I am would be willing to suck wheel.
Looks fun, but a little to far to drive for us, so I think we will do Bike Around the Buttes that weekend instead.

Really? I need the date then, so I can book it...you know how quickly our calendar fills up. ;)
Let's play "how long can we make this tandem train?" and see how many BFers show up. That could be fun.

I'll be there with my BikeForums jersey on. I'll sign up for the 120M and will follow the tandem wherever it goes :D

Okay, we just signed up for the 200k. We can all do the 100 miler together and see how we feel at the commit mark. If we are feeling strong enough we will do the extra miles and if not we will head for the end. If we do the extra miles we will expect some company so I hope some of you guys will stick with us.
We are looking forward to riding with all of you guys. It should be a lot of fun. Let's talk about where and when we can meet and head out together.
It's all your fault Curtis.

I've heard it so often I'm thinking of getting a custom jersey with that on it....
Hmm. The 100K looks kind of doable. I don't know about paying $45 to go on a bike ride, though. Plus there's the two and a half hour drive to the starting point...

Don't you realize the $45 gives you the opportunity to spend $60 on a commemorative jersey? And how do you know you actually rode your bike unless you have a shirt, patch and a commemorative jersey?

Personally, I think the Primavera Century has a much nicer route than the Tierra Bella. The Primavera is the same weekend, starting in Fremont.

Yeah, but what does their jersey look like? I guess true studs could do both.... But I ...ahh.... have to ...ahhh... mow the lawn on Sunday. Lawn...

I agree. But, a century with friends is a nice time regardless.
Some of us are going to attempt to ride both that weekend. Don't ask me why

A century with friends is what we are signed up for. Once again, I have to say it, are you ready?
It's all your fault Curtis.
No really. We are looking forward to riding with all you guys. We are not looking for a hammer fest. I am a bit out of riding shape anyway and what better way to get back in shape but to cruise through a century with fun people.

Do note the relative height of Palomares compared to all the other climbs - and that Palomares was the Big Climb on our bf ride this past weekend.
Oy.

Also note that the toughest stage of the Tour of California (on Wednesday) only does Hamilton and Sierra, no Diablo for those wimps.
I remember my old car used to have a hell of a time driving over the Altamont Pass, and it's apparently just a wee little thing.
