Sorry, I have no experience with the Tour of Flanders. Anyway, this is a link to the english version of the official site :

Hola!
The link above is for the randonne event (amatuer tour). Here is the offical RvV site http://www.rvv.be/2008/eng/deronde/index.html
Great Google Maps and Google Earth (if you don't have Google Earth you don't know what your route planning is missing!). The rvv.be site is a little slow at times but this is the best source for the course/riders/updates.
Google Tour of Flanders specifically looking for stories of journos who have tried to make 6 plus bergs in one race. There is a small community of die hards who skip the beer fests and try to stay mobile (using their own bikes) to race along roads and catch the course at multiple points - in 08 there seem to be two spots that will be useful for "multi-sighting" stops (Nurkeke along N60 and Brakel ... probably the best spot).
Be careful - the bergs are packed early and the crowds on them can be deep and drunk ... friendly but they guard their territory VERY well! You'll never have a better time watching a race than in Flanders with harsh (but not raining) weather. Most authentic experience in cycling spectating I've had. Didn't make RvV last year but I will this year (Brakel is my target).
