this seems like a pretty novel concept - a comfort performance road bike....

i'm guessing this is ideally suited for the fast recreational rider looking to do long distance riding.

what do yall think of this bike?

I have an 04 Spealized Sequoia, with carbon forks ans stay's, looks like the same type of bike, I love it, comfort with good road bike qualities.

First of all, I'd like to say this new server is awesome looking!

Is that a make-shift of the S-Works Tarmac?? How much is it...? I just found out that the Tarmac complete bike is $4880.00!!!! The frame alone is $2710.00!!!!!!!!! Nuts!!

I say that DuraAce for a comfort bike is an overkill! Ultegra, tops... but the bike does look nice.

Isn't it odd that Specialized would duplicate a model name already in use by another bike company? I mean, I know you can't trademark the name of a city in France, but why invite confusion when it's so unnecessary? Fuji has been marketing a "Roubaix" for years.

it's not really a comfort bike [no more than a trek 5200 is]; it's more of a long-distance performance bike. it's really nicely specced, and quite a bit less expensive than comparable treks. i think specialized thinks of this as the 5200-killer.

aside from te sloping tt the geometry is classic flemish classics geometry. should be ideal for masters stage racers. this is not a crit bike, but then, neither is the 5200.

no, this isn't really a sequoia.... actually, the roubaix is to the sequoia probably what the tarmac is to the allez. the roubaix is supposed to be a full-on race bike, probably made for courses like.... paris-roubaix!! ;)
