This was cool! Gina and I were approaching our usual reststop across the river from the Honda Center. Right before we got there we had to down an underpass with a tough lil hill that takes you back up. I saw a lady just ahead. I saw her pump up the hill without missing a beat. As I approached the top, she pulled over to take a pic, I think. I rode by and said,"good job" as I know that hill can be a muthah! Not sure if she heard me or not.
We got to the reststop and quickly pulled over as Gina was heating up. Today was a very nice day but much warmer than any in recent days. Plus we had been pulling a line of guys at 20 mph for some time. She deserved to be tired.
Well the lady photographer pulled up and I made a comment about a nice summerlike day. We exchanged a few good words then it came up that we had a tandem. She then pointed at me and said, "oh, you're uhhh, uhhh, uhhh!". "Mr Beanz", I replied. I asked if she was on the forum and she said,"I'm Condorita!".
Cool, we talked for a bit then headed on our way after Gina recouped. Very nice Lady! Very friendly and pleasant. And I'd have to say, when she took off, she was spinnin' them pedals bigtime!:D
Vey nice to meet ya Condorita! Now that I know where you hang, I'll be seeing you again!:D
