Well, at least a little - it's noticeable, but not yet to the point where people will point and laugh.
And what a difference a year makes! Last year at this point I was just getting back into cycling after a 10 year break (living overseas, kids, lots of complications). I did the identical ride last year (a variation on the House of Pain team training route - ~50 miles, pretty flat - maybe 2,000 feet of climbing) on the same weekend. Last year I was the absolute slowest person on the TnT team, barely staying in touch with the slow group and averaging well under 11 mph. I was wiped out for the whole next day after that! Today, despite fighting a cold, I averaged over 15 mph and was solidly in with the middle group (no way I can keep up with the fast young kids!). After the ride, nothing feels stressed - it's nice to think that I was in much better shape last Summer, but I'm still showing this much improvement.
