As most of us from Miami know, Miami is not the most bike friendly city by any standards. I am trying to change that. I am uniting a group of people interested in change in order to get government attention. I started a virtual meet up spot here: soflabike.proboards45.com and would like to invite those interested in making a difference.
Presently we have sparse bike lanes and most drivers don't even know it is legal for bicycles to be on the road. It is quite troubling, but it's true. I have been complaining to the Public Works Dept. for sometime now but I am realizing that I cannot be the only one doing this-- others need to help. Anyways, if you are interested in joining in the effort, join us at soflabike.proboards45.com and voice your opinion. We are a small group now, but the demand is obvious and the change is inevitable. Soon we will have enough people to do my dreamed off protest in city hall. We you join us?
Ps we're trying to start something like the recent movement in Chicago.
Regards,
Richard
