I have posted this on the Want to buy forum but I think I will have a better chance here. I am looking for a DEAL on a used Powertap. Prefer a SL but will consider a 2007 Pro.......I think 07 was when they upgraded the pro?. I just missed a wired SL with a matching front by only a few bucks :( on Ebay a few minutes ago. Please tell me what you have. Thanks

Might look at slowtwitch.com as well, very active classified ads. There is a nice looking Blackwell PT wheel set right now.

Probably not what you're looking for, but I just listed my Zipp 404s with the PT SL on eBay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160228538374).

I'll have PT SL 2.4 (wireless) for sale later next week (I need to install Ergomo first). It's build on DTSwiss 1.2 rim. Hub is Shimano. Includes the wheel, computer (with mount), HR strap and cadence/speed sensor (with magnet). PT was used for one year, bought as new.

PM me if interested with your offer.

I am looking for a powertap too as are many people. Maybe there should be an official powertap for sale thread.

Sourced a local P'tap Pro. Thanks guys. But yeah, a Powertap trading forum sounds like a good idea :D I'll be hankering for a 2.4 soon I'm sure.

If someone is still looking ...THIS (http://forum.slowtwitch.com/gforum.cgi?post=1777482#1777482) looks like a good deal on a SL Wheel with matching front...

My main training partner just landed a low-mileage used SL, built into an Open Pro for $535 shipped...

It seems the Campy PTaps go pretty cheap on Ebay. He's got to convert it to Shimano, but that's $53 from Bikeman.com. Still a rocking deal. Out the door about $100 less than I paid for mine.

Haven't seen anyone beat the deal I got :D:

PT SL 2.4 Wireless built into a Open Pro for $500. Saris then replaced the hub with a brand-spanking new hub (I bought it on the condition that Saris would replace it). He didn't have the patience to wait 3 weeks so he bought another new one on the spot and gave me a great deal this one.

On a side note...when I had the old hub I noticed the teeth in the cassette had notched the aluminum freehub. When I got the PT back from Saris with the new freehub, I installed the lil gizmos you can order from American Classic that fit in the slots between the hub body and the cassette. No more freehub body notches !!!

Now I just gotta figure out what to do with the numbers.

Yeah, that's a pretty insane deal.

Linky on the AC freehub body bits?

Sounds like they're built for another application but someone clued me in that they will fix the Powertap aluminum freehub/steel cassette problem. Took me a while to figure out how to put them in as I tend to only read the directions after I've throughly failed to figure it out myself. Comes with nine pieces, you will only use three per wheelset (one set for duraace, one for ultegra and one for 105). I was trying to use all nine pieces at first?!?

I have noticed a lot of play in my Shimano 10 speed cogs when mounting them loosely on the free hub body, is this normal?
Yes, shimano changed the shape of the inside of their 10 speed cassettes by removing contact points. We have designed special clips or pins which fix the play and protect the body and these come standard as a kit with our shimano style road wheels. You do not need clips/pins for Shimano 9 speed, SRAM 9 or 10 speed or Campagnolo 9 or 10 speed cassettes. The kit contains 10 speed Ultegra clips, 10 speed Dura Ace clips and 10 speed 105 pins. The pin/clips are placed under the free standing cogs and will not only reduce the play but are designed to protect your free hub body from being damaged by the cogs. It is important to use these clips in conjunction with the 0.5 mm American Classic spacer (provided with wheels) and the silver Shimano cassette spacer so that you do not damage your free hub body. The 10 speed clip/pin kits are available for sale for $14.99 plus shipping.
