Mrs. HandsomeRyan (Tabatha) and I went riding yesterday. I suggested we should stop by my favorite bike shop on the way back to the car and she humored me by coming along. The shop owner came out to greet me before I'd even gotten my helmet off, he is a super-great guy. I told him that I didn't think my wifes Diamondback Wildwood Citi was up to par for the riding she has been doing and that I'd like to get her on something with 700c wheels and nicer components. He showed us a couple bikes but Tab decided her favorite was a Scott Sportster. I purchased the bike and Tab has been all smiles since then.

We did 25 miles today and she was much faster and I think she had fun. Below are some pics-

and finally one of Me and Mrs. HandsomeRyan:

I also wanted to mention that the owner of the bike shop was talking to a customer buying a $4,200 bike when we got there, he pulled himeslef away from that to come help my wife and I. I have the upmost respect for a guy who personally takes care of all his customers whether they are spending $500 or $5,000.

Earth Traverse Bike Shop off Sutherland Ave. (and you're welcome!) :D

EDIT: I had to look at his business card that I keep at work, but the guy who helps me (i believe he is the manager and/or owner) is named Randy Schonagen. He has been wonderful to work with on both bike purchases and I feel confident recomending him to anyone. The rest of the staff @ the shop are also really nice guys who seem to be very compitent and skilled as bike mechanics.
