Bicycle Mechanics - Why is my head tube creaking?

help needed!! is this easy to fix..it only creaks when i stand to climb or kick it for a sprint, just wondering if anyone has any ideas why i am creaking, and how hard, if it can be fixed..itrs not my headset, it appears to actually be my head tube, where the bike logo is printed on the front of the bike..

I have an integrated bar and stem, and had them all tightened last weekend..
new BB, chain and cassette put in too, so head tube seems like the cause for my pain/annoyance

Hi, the bike is carbon or AL? Carbon tends to trasmit sounds to the weirdest places. If you are sure that all have been tighet up fine. I would put something in the BB threads, grease or something, do not put locktite ok? ... That white strings thing will do fine. IF the sound it is still there i would change both skewers... yup, probalby one of the quick releases went bad. If u have some old steel QR, mavic or campy. Use those ones and I bet all will be gone forever. I got the same problem, all brand new I even thought the BB had an internal crack. I believe the rear QR went bad even thought had like 2 weeks old (cr@p) Looks like the Rear end of the bike was too rigid for the QR hehehe. I believe u have the same problem.

Did you grease / regrease before tightening? All metal on metal interfaces, bolts, etc.

Long shot. I once had a case of the subtle "creek-cricks" under the exact conditions you noted. It was the cable housing rubbing rhythmically in time with my cadence against the frame near the headset. When I stood up, I apparently distorted the frame in such a way that it tensioned and rubbed.

I had the same thing happen and it turned out to be the handlebar stem moving or flexing in the forks.The stem was a bit too small.I put some shims in and the noise stopped.Have you changed the handlebars/stem?
