I think it allows other users to rate your posts giving you a better rating. Kind of a way to measure how good a poster you are in comparison to the number of posts.

Thats just a guess BTW :)

Oh to change a persons rep you will see 3 icons under the left square displaying your info. It is the far left icon. Clikc on it and it gives the user a point (or taking it away) and you can comment on the post itself.

guys, you missed my birthday! I logged on on oct 2 2003, expected to see a warm happy birthday, but instead, I got NOTHING! I was crying for days straight, you know. :)

My birthday always is sad...snipers shooting people in 2002, and bikeforums down in 2003.
