Here's an article about how some groups are seeking to have Clear Channel's licence to operate revoked. This would be a good thing seeing as how Clear Channel stations have endorsed hitting cyclists:

Here is more on Clear Channel and efforts to stop the renewal of 63 of their Licenses it seems they have been ticking off a lot more than cyclists (hint it is a half hour show the Clear channel segments starts about 17 minutes into it)

Hey Joe,

Would you consider passing an electronic anti-CC petition around BF and presenting it before 1 December to the appropriate government agencies? Five strikes are enough!

Spandexwarrior..I responded to your other thread about a Portland station hitting on cyclists. Appreciate for once knowing this was not a Clear Channel offense.
Also, I hit on Clear Channel without knowing of this thread! Thanks for advancing this battle against monopolies choking free speech, let alone cycling. This thread is a sign you are the warrior. Thanks, I am interested in this battle.

their history of cyclist-bashing aside, there are a ton of other reasons why Clear Channel should be banned. They have basically taken over like a huge amount of radio stations and other media (satellite radio) in the country, they are like a monopoly and are horrible in terms of radio play. They also got into controvery over here in NYC by promoting the use of video screen ads in various sections of NY, basically light pollution and just unneeded advertising crap to force down the throat of the people who live there.
