yea i saw this guy today and it is pretty badass but he describes it as being a medium size fram, I am 6'1" and 185lb so I need something tall and sturdy

I can't say on the bikes- but it strikes me funny to ask about a bike making it across the country when the manufacturer calls it a "cross town" bike!

(Seriously, I suppose a lot of cheapo bikes could make it across the country in the right circumstances- it would help to have a good many miles on it before you started to iron out any problems).

Basically you want either something steel, or if aluminum, preferably a Cannondale.

The Giant that you posted might not be a bad choice if you aren't going heavy loads. I would think one of the Cannondales I posted has better components.

Make sure whatever you get, it's got a small chainring up front, the smaller the better, 22 or 24 tooth would be preferable, and the rear cassette have at least a 32 tooth low gear on the back, or 34.

Try all these bikes out and see what fits you the best.

Thank you for the help Robert, I will post a picture of a frame I think will be mine soon, its a Cannondale police-grade urban hybrid frame, fork, and bottom bracket. I fell in love with it when I saw it and now I just need to borrow 100 extra dollars from a friend to own the beauty.
