Road Cycling - Jamis Quest 03'

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I asked about a Fuji Roubaix a while ago, but since then I decided to go with a Jamis Quest 2003. I will be using it for mostly tour, most likley no racing. I will definetly be going up hill, and be on it for long periods of time.. I herd steel is nice? Is it? Anyone with a Jamis Quest or had one rode one or just know lots about bike, please give me some feed back on it.. I am gettin 2 for 975 each, good price? Seems good... Thanks! RYAN

Nice bike. Seems like a decent price. The Quest, IIRC, used to be a little more of a touring bike than it is now, but it definitely still fits the classic "sport-touring" profile, although the wheels and tires and cassette are more "sport" than "touring."
It should be a very comfortable ride. If your shop is doing a good job fitting you and setting up the bike, you should be very happy.

I bought a 2003 Quest about 2 months ago. I haven't been able to ride it as much as I'd like yet (only about 275 miles) but so far I love it!

I bought a Jamis Quest in mid August, and I really like it. The ride and handling are excellent, and the triple makes the hills a lot easier to climb. I've passed riders with doubles on the hills. You are also getting a good price on them.
