So I finally got a ride in since Thanksgiving. A quick, easy 20 miler this morning just to see how the legs felt. Felt pretty good.

Heading out of Kaysville and saw this poor bambie.

Got a little further and grabbed this pic looking south.

Nearing the end of my ride, had to take a pic of the neighborhood llama.

Was nice to finally get out.

Yes - it was great wasn't it? My bike partner and i went out Saturday and Sunday (same kind of 20 mile "just to get out" rides). Sunday was the best - "warm" (over 32 degrees) air, no traffic, and lots of people enjoying a break in winter. The snow cover is about the same in SLC as up your way, judging from the pictures, but we don't have the roadside llamas...

I wanted to go out Sunday too but between church and work, there was no time. I was sitting in my office on Sunday around 2:00 pm looking out my 12th floor window towards the U and was watching all of the cyclists go by wishing I was one of them. I didn't get any work done until after it started to get dark.

If you want to see lamas in SLC take the parkway. Emus, and peacocks too, if you know where to look. Now find me a kangaroo, and I'll be happy.

When I used to drink, I'm sure I saw kangaroos. Rhinos, too!
