Yep, not a big surprise, though, it is winter after all.

But when will it be spring again?:o

Tom, it was 14F here with a 20MPH+ winds! No riding today! Hoping for tomorrow. Have you looked into Nokians for riding in the snow and ice?:D

I'm already planning on working from home tomorrow. 3-8" expected through tomorrow night.
I'm hoping that this is winter's peak...and it's all downhill from here.

I have two skinny tire road bikes, and the one that could take studded tire has 27" wheels and is a classic old touring ride. I wouldn't want to trash it winter riding.

We have had so much snow lately that I could install a ski lift on the piles of snow at the end of my driveway. I'm sure I could sell lift tickets.

This is an outrage! How can we have Tom without a beater bike to ride in the inclement Indiana Winter!

Alright folks! How are we going to fix this situation?

winter's pretty much over in the Willamette Valley, the cold spell broke this week and the bulbs are coming up, in a few weeks the plum trees will be blooming. There are outrageous amounts of snow in the Cascades, however, with more to come...

Sounds like you need another bike Tom. What size?

How much does it usually snow in Indiana? My brother just got a job there (Columbus) and will be moving in the next week or so. I think he's going to miss the cold north.

Variable.....

Nothing like the UP, but it can get good snows as well. Columbus is far enough south in Indiana that they get more sleet and freezing rain than we do. the general break point is around Indianapolis between snow and ice.

Look up the Blizzard of 78 and such to give you an idea of what the worst case is.

Well, all I can say is that if the NAHBS is truly in Indianapolis next year, I will hope it does not take place in weather like this !

Another dissappointing "blizzard". Less than an inch. Dang!

We've had a good winter around here. So far only about two weeks total of freezing temps (a few days here and there) and only 2-3 days of snow-covered roads and streets.

Pretty much the entire winter has been like today. Overcast, a bit windy, around 5°C (~40°F), humidity close to 100 % and "moist" roads.

This is hardly enough snow to even count. Just barely enough to even be annoying. Wake me up when we get a real snow storm. http://img172.echo.cx/img172/1552/sc0656ah.gif
