I am trying to use www.mapmyride to...well...map my rides. But I have run into a problem, hope someone can help. When I map the ride, after the first five miles or slow, the site becomes very slow, taking one-two minutes or more to map the distance and the elevation. Has anyone found the same problem, and have you found a solution? Thanks for any help you can provide.

Dave

"Has anyone found the same problem?"

Yes

"and have you found a solution?"

No, other than to break a long ride up into shorter legs (sort of defeats the purpose...).

I use it. Never encountered the problem you're experiencing.

I use it all the time. I know the problem that you're talking about, but I've noticed that it seems to happen off and on, not consistently. I think it's more an issue with their servers and band usage.

I've experienced the same problem as well. Sometimes using a different browser works (I have both Firefox and IE). Other times, I just have to give up and try again later (which means it's probably their server as mentioned above). I would complain, but it's a free service.
