As you can see, there are now dozens of new features on the forums. So, whats your favorite? Anyone want to share some tips for a better experience on the forums?
I'll start off:
You can now preview the thread, without needing to open it up! To do this, place your mouse cursor on the thread title. You should now see a small pop up box that has a preview of the thread.
I really like the thread tree view... especially the hybrid mode.

I'm not sure if I like the hybrid mode, it takes a bit to get used to.
Another cool feature is the ability to search the member list by location, as well as by bikes owned! I had no clue we had so many Utah members. Time to PM a few for a local ride.
Anyone check out the calendar? Kinda spiffy! ;)

Coming from the USENET world and having been accustomed to newsreaders like trn, slrn, tin and knews, I'm used to seeing a thread tree in order to follow subthreads so I welcome the usefulness.

Neat. I'll have to check that out.

I was looking at it a bit earlier. Pretty cool.

Joe, the search function still requires three letters in the keyword window, meaning you can not search for CO or 50, for example - two searches I have tried in the past without success.

I think I've gotten around that on other bb software by searching for "CO" (with the quotes). Worth a try at least.
Yes Joe I like the pop up over the thread..To get a Indication of the thread but It disappears to fast maybe just a second longer would be nice...the way It is now I got to read awful fast

Calendar feature is nice. Can members post or offer posts for the calendar?

I like the mouse over to see the topic of the thread. Unfortunatlely, it doesn't appear to work with Mozilla. *Sigh*
I like the nice clean looks of the new site. I was worried that you had removed the 'Get New' posts feature but soon found it.

Everything is more streamlined and organized, I like how the most recent post time is displayed much simpler.
Joe, does the blue star next to your name and a few others means "forum moderator" or something else?

Yes, the blue star indicates that member is a super moderator or administrator.
I'm lazy- and on behalf of the lazy slobs out there, I'm saying that feature that allows you to hold your mouse over the thread title to read some of the first post in a thread without having to click and open it is great! One question though- are we gonna get more emoticons?

Ever since the beginning of WWW/HTML and especially during the early days of graphical browsers, people have been harping on the use of ALT and TITLE attributes in IMG and HREF tags respectively yet many people never used them. The fact that everyone now seems to think they're the best thing since sliced bread greatly amuses me. :D
I'm just LUVIN' that "Similar Threads" list at the bottom of the page. I can be even lazier and see what topics are out there that I tend to post in without having to surf.
Great job, Joe!
