Congrats, great ride.

I once thought that instead of riding *my* age on my birthday I would try to ride the age of the oldest member of this board.

Nope, bad idea....too much work while I'm "young," I'll build up to it!

Let's start with the teens and 90's. Anyone that young or old?

By the way, I got a phone call from a stranger today who wanted info on a Bernese Mountain Dog they rescued. I don't know why, but he said... "I assume you're in the 50+ group? We have an internet forum just for people in the 50+ group, if you want to join." I was actually startled for a moment, expecting that one of you had played a joke on me! But I guess not!

Sorry, I'm 105 and can't take the chance by delaying posting. Tried to ride my age last Saturday but only managed a Century.

Tail winds to everyone.

Same here, fthomas! Mrs. Road Fan would say I'm approaching 20 backwards. But how'd this 34 years backwards go so fast?

I am as old as life on the Earth, for as it is stated on Wikipedia:

Tom Bombadil's origins in the cosmology of Middle-earth were left vague by Tolkien. He calls himself the "Oldest" and the "Master". He claims to remember "the first raindrop and the first acorn"

Unfortunately what I cannot remember is where I put last night's mail.

It's a lifestyle quiz. If you smoke and have unprotected sex it will tell you that you already died.

Go to www.realage.com. You'll see the quiz there. It's fun. Don't know if it's really accurate, but I think it is enough to get you thinking about some lifestyle changes. It made me decide to get a new family.

OK, according to the last poll, we had 8 people 70 and over. Who is over 70? Speak up!

We also had 25 "lurkers" and posters under 50. Please speak up if you're under 45.

Here's the last poll we did.

Robert Gardner is 86, but he usually posts in mechanics. He was there in Nov, but hasn't posted in 50+ for a year, so I don't know if he wins.

He sounds pretty cool. He rides about 2000 miles a year and only has one leg!

Is that 68, too, then?

DnvrFox is 68, too. We'll let this sit for a while and see if any 69-85 year olds show up. If not, then we'll hash it out among the 68 year olds!

How are we doing with the younger than 45s? You have 24 hours to make yourself known. Let's make it all under 50 people. I'm 47, but I know there are younger here than I. How old is The Historian?

That's the rider I was thinking of, too. Does some pretty impressive rides, and I also think he has mentioned volunteering as a worker on group rides in his area. He was also the rider who originally made me think I was a wimp for riding my age on my birthday....I was thinking, why don't I ride *his* age?

p.s. my real age is 51.5...I took the 'real age' test mentioned above last night and it said I was 40. I think I recall taking it a few years ago, before I changed my eating habits and lost a lot of weight, and it was much more depressing at the time.
