The written names look like they are authentic Japanese, but read them out loud and in Spanish and the joke becomes apparent. For example, the name of the hospital, Aki Temato becomes "I will kill you here" in Spanish. Or the breast pathology doctor Taprieto Tuteta becomes "Doctor I squeeze your boob." "See? Funny, ha, ha, a hospital that kills you, Dr. squeezes boobs? I guess it loses something in the translation.

I got a chuckle out of it ;)

Then again, I also understand why Chevy couldn't sell the Nova in Mexico, or Ford having problems with sales of the Pinto in Argentina.

Yes, there are some real landmines with different dialects of Spanish. In Argentina, you cannot say "concha", its the equivalent of "p@ssy" in reference to the female anatomy in English. In Spain, a "bollo" is a breakfast bread roll, but in Cuban Spanish it is the "c" word.

So "pinto" is small dick in Argentine slang. It explains why Argentines are so arrogant, they all have "pintos" and have to compensate for it!

Then there was the Chillito, formerly on the menu at Taco Bell. 3 guesses what a Chillito is in Mexico.....think Pinto in Argentina ;)

I laughed a bit too looudly (I'm in the library)....and here in Australia Mitsubishi released the Pajero and effectively eliminated the spanish speaking market.
