Hello I live in Spring Texas. I just bought a motorized recumbent bike. It has a 1 hp motor under the seat. I would like very much to joing some of the organized rides in the local area. I am just wondering if anybody out there has experienced riding with a motorized bike? Are they accepted or even allowed in the group rides? Thanks

Assuming this is an "assist" motor, let them raz you. At the end of each climb, you'll still have fresh legs.:)

BTW, you have to pull your feet off the pedals, point your legs backwards like tailpipes, and make motorcycle sounds as you pass people.

As for blowing my detroit muscle off the road... done already. It's broke, in peices, in the garage :( Otherwise... you'd have a challenge.
