Is Jacksonville a bicycle friendly area? Does anybody bike commute in Jacksonville? I am considering a move and I would appreciate any info. Thanks!

Jax is very cyclist friendly, though you wont find too many cycling commuters. THere are many almost daily group road rides, especially once daylight savings time kicks in.

I find it a great city to ride in. A lot of the roads in my area (southside) are being rebuilt with nicely paved bike lanes. Lots of daily rides

if you live in the city center (I live in springfield) it's fairly easy to live car free. pretty much everything you will need is within a 5 miles radius and the central areas tend to be much more bike friendly that the outlying, suburban areas
