If you want to see the frame only why don't you visit their website or the stores that carry this frame?

...i think you missed the mark, the frame as in the bike, not the weapon you put on your fist to break people.

it looks like a nasty Al walmart mountain bike did it with a nasty al walmart roadbike. The offspring was then painted a gross color and sold for $300

that should paint a mental picture

I'd rather have any of the off the peg track bikes than a brass knuckle.

edit: if I won one I'd sell it

sniks
02-15-08, 10:14 PM
then give me one for $200
i'm sure who ever wins it will be happy they can at least sell it and get something they want.

That one done up with risers isnt too bad. I dunno, I'm not a huge fan. Why not use a Kilo TT frame? put the 125 dollars you save on frames into parts people will like. I think most people would be happier with a kilo frame than a brass knuckle, and if you do get a brassnuckle frameset please replace that aluminum fork. ew.

Paint.

That's one of the better looking brassknuckles I've seen out there. Looks good with track drops I think.

true but there are so many bad conversions here.
take off all the parts, sell the frame.

and cash is nice but they will just spend it on drugs and booze.
and I can't support that.

instead of a complete, why don't you give first place (or whatever) the frame and a gift certificate to a local shop for parts?
the shop gets the business/exposure (maybe they'll cover the certificate or at least a portion), and the rider gets the parts he likes.

Now now, don't go saying that every one of us would spend cash on drugs and booze. Then again, it may be a fair assessment. In all seriousness though, I think it's awesome what you're doing and having a complete bike as a prize is pretty damn fantastic.

because i have all the parts except the frame and fork.
take offs from stuff.

and I assume if they have a good bike it coulds be their beater or they might sell it to get what they want .
other wise it will be an upgrade.

if they had a kilo tt thats what i would get...i really like them as well

why is everyone hatin on the brassknuckle. I was seriously considering getting one. But im not sure about paying $300 for a frame made in taiwan. I think its only marked up so much because it is advertised under EAI.

Is Kilo TT really better than the brassknuckle???

I Love my frame and the fact that I wont ever have to worry about getting racked on the top tube.

G. First the Brass Knuckle. Then I run into a lovely young lady yesterday who claims to have received a free bike from you after the theft of hers. What the **** man? Are you the messiah incarnate or just attempting to outdo his generosity but with the a little more flare and suave style?

Brass knuckle = aluminum, so you will want to replace the fork almost immediately. Also, the sloping top tube is fugly. I wouldnt worry about its location of origin, nothing in Italy they cant do in Taiwan. I think the argument is that you can get a decent frame, comparable to the brass knuckle for...half the price in the kilo tt and its steel. Another option, as you would probably want to replace the fork anyway is a leader 735. I think those are about 300.

But im not sure about paying $300 for a frame made in taiwan.

99% of bike frames are made in Taiwan, including $6,000 carbon fiber frames.

I see plenty of them getting raced at Hellyer (local velodrome). If if good enough for the track, I'm sure it's worthy of 99% of the people here. I do agree that they are priced higher than they should be, but come on it's not a total POS.
